Why Livermore Pet Owners Drive to Tracy

Oakley is in East Contra Costa County, and our clinic in Tracy sits about 28 to 30 miles south, roughly a 40 to 45 minute drive down Byron Highway. Oakley pet owners make that drive every week for one reason. People come once, save money, and come back.

The savings are real and specific.

Our prices are flat and posted, with no upsell. Spay and neuter starts at $105 for cats and $170 for dogs. A full dental cleaning is $600, and that price includes pre-anesthetic bloodwork, full-mouth digital X-rays, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatment. Clients regularly tell us those prices come in well under what they were quoted closer to home. For most Oakley pet owners, a single procedure covers the cost of the drive many times over.

You can review everything we charge on our prices and rates page.

The drive from central Oakley typically takes 40 to 45 minutes outside of peak commute windows. If you're coming from Bethel Island or the far north side of town, budget a few extra minutes. For spay and neuter appointments, we ask that you arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, so plan accordingly.

Why 876+ Families Trust Us

Caring and efficient staff and doctors. Pet advocate is over 60 miles away from me but I will continue to take both my pets to them. Can't beat the price for spay/neuter! They truly serve the community due to their affordable pricing on pet healthcare. I can't say enough good things about this practice… thank you!

We took our Golden doodle Glory to her spayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I did our research and found that full service vets charge 3 to 4 times what the P.A. charged. I have absolute faith in them and would absolutely recommend them. Thank you for taking good care of my Glory.

I am so glad to have found this vet. I have used them twice now for a spay and a beautiful dental cleaning. The staff is the nicest people of any vet I've ever been to. The prices are so fair and reasonable with no attempt to upsell. I highly recommend them.

This place Great staff and really good doctors my only complaint is that they have you drop between 8:30-9am and don’t end taking you in for another hour to a little over an hour to be taken in they should really work on their drop off process in the morning it’s very inconvenient to the customers.

Got a Quote from Another Tracy Vet? Call Us for a Second Opinion.

If a Tracy-area clinic just quoted you $1,800 for a dental cleaning or $500 to spay your cat, call us before you book. We'll tell you honestly:

  • Whether it's something in our scope (most spay/neuter and dental cases are)

  • What we'd charge for the same work

  • Whether you'd be better off at a full-service hospital for medical reasons

We won't take a case just because someone calls. If your pet needs diagnostic capability we don't have, we'll point you to a clinic that does.
