What to expect

At The Pet Advocate…

We want to make the process of having your pet spayed or neutered convenient and affordable. Shortly after scheduling your pet’s appointment, a consent form will be emailed to you. This can be filled out online or in person. We recommend filling out the form at home to help make your pet's check-in process more efficient.

On the day of your pet’s procedure, you need to arrive at our location (find directions here) between 8:00am and 9:00 am. Drop off for cats is from 8:00am-8:30am. Drop off for dogs is 8:30am-9:00am After being checked in, our staff will ask you several questions about your pet’s health history and will perform a pre-surgical exam. We will then take your pet to get them settled into their kennel for the day. Your pet will never be in direct contact with other pets and will be always under direct supervision of our staff.

After your pet’s procedure is performed we will give you a call to let you know your pet is in recovery. At this time we will notify you of the time your pet will be ready to go home. Generally this is between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. Once you arrive to pick up your pet, our staff will review go home instructions and make sure to answer any questions you may have.
