In 2025, Antioch pet owners booked 402 procedures with us. The reason is our prices are far lower than local vets, making the drive more than worth it.
We see pets for spay/neuter surgery, dental, vaccines, and wellness.
If your pet needs ongoing primary care, chronic disease management, or anything that needs follow-up over months, you want a full-service hospital. Many of our Antioch clients use both.

The Pet Advocate sits at 1973 N. Tracy Blvd., Tracy, CA 95376. From central Antioch, the trip runs about 31 miles and around 45 minutes free of traffic. Add time on weekday mornings between 7 and 9 AM.
Most Antioch clients take CA-4 east toward Brentwood, then turn south on Vasco Road through Byron and Mountain House. From there you pick up I-205 east into north Tracy. Some clients prefer staying on CA-4 to I-580 east, then I-205 east. Both routes land within a few minutes of the clinic.

"I had my 10-year-old cat's teeth cleaned and two molars extracted. I highly recommend these people. I live in Concord. Every veterinarian near me quoted me between $1,000 and $3,000 for the teeth cleaning. The Pet Advocate took x-rays, did the cleaning, and the extractions. It cost me just under $700."

Drop-off for spay, neuter, and dental procedures runs from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. You wait in your car when you arrive. A tech comes out to collect your pet and run through check-in. We call you when your pet is in recovery.
Pickup is the same afternoon between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. You leave with discharge instructions, any medication, and a follow-up plan if extractions were done.
Walk-in vaccines and wellness services run from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No appointment needed.
Cat spays and neuters start at $105. Dog spays and neuters start at $170. Pricing scales with your pet's weight. The base price covers anesthesia, monitoring, and same-day discharge. Pain medication and a recovery cone are quoted separately.
For TNR groups working through community cat populations, opting out of cones to stretch the budget is a common call. We will walk you through what each add-on does and let you choose. See pricing on the spay and neuter page.
The dog dental cleaning base price is $600. That covers pre-anesthetic bloodwork, full-mouth digital X-rays, scaling, polishing, and fluoride. Extractions, when needed, are billed separately.
Cat dental cleaning runs the same $600 base price with the same inclusions.
Walk-in only, no exam fee, no appointment. We carry rabies, DHPP, FVRCP, Bordetella, FeLV, and the rest of the core schedule. Bring previous records if you have them. Full schedule on the pet vaccinations page.
Microchipping, flea and tick treatment, deworming, anal gland expression, and nail trims run walk-in from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. More on the pet wellness clinic page.
"We drove ~1.5 hr to have our small dog neutered. They did not disappoint! This place had great prices and the service was wonderful! The staffs were very nice and friendly."

We are built for preventive surgery, dentals, vaccinations, and wellness. For ongoing primary care, chronic conditions, or anything that needs months of follow-up, a full-service Antioch hospital like East Hills Veterinary Hospital on Buchanan Road handles that work well. Many Antioch clients use both: East Hills for sick visits, us for the predictable preventive procedures.
For emergencies, go to a 24-hour hospital. VCA East Bay Veterinary Emergency at 1312 Sunset Drive in Antioch stays open around the clock. Our own after-hours referral, for clients who develop problems following a procedure with us, is Sage Veterinary Hospital at (925) 574-7243.
We also do not accept dogs over 100 pounds. For dentals, we cannot take French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Rottweilers, or flat-faced cat breeds like Persians. Full criteria on our dental requirements page.
